How to Create and Schedule a Text Campaign

Overview

Text campaigns let you send updates directly to your customers’ phones. Your promotional messages and offers are sent through a stashboard. Springbig handles compliance, deliverability, and tracking for you. This guide walks you through creating a campaign from scratch.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Campaigns: From the dashboard, click Campaigns in the left navigation.
  2. Click “Create Campaign”: Select Text as the message type.
  3. Select your recipients: Choose your segment(s). You’ll see a count of how many customers will receive the message.
  4. Write your message: Compose your message content. Keep it concise and include a clear call to action.
  5. Add an image (suggested): For MMS, you can attach an approved image. 
  6. Attach an extension (optional): Add an extension such as an offer that customers can redeem.
  7. Schedule or send immediately: Choose to send now or schedule for a specific date and time. Consider your customers’ peak shopping hours.
  8. Review and confirm: Preview the message, verify the audience count, and confirm. Springbig will process the send.

Best Practices

  • Send a test message to yourself first before scheduling.
  • Avoid sending before 8 AM or after 9 PM in the customer’s time zone.
  • Include a clear call to action.
  • Track your delivery and open rates in the campaign report after sending.

Reminder: Campaigns consume messaging credits. Check your credit balance before scheduling large campaigns. You can recharge credits in the Billing section.
